A 500,000+ Sq. Ft. Commercial Cleaning Project
The size of the QuikTrip headquarters presented challenges that aren’t typically found on residential or smaller commercial properties.
The project included cleaning:

Some portions of the building reached approximately 75 feet high, requiring specialized access equipment to safely complete the work.
Using a 135-Foot Boom Lift
Reaching the upper portions of the building was one of the biggest challenges of the project.
Our team utilized a 135-foot boom lift to safely access the tall columns, walls, and other elevated sections of the QuikTrip property.
Using the lift allowed us to position our technicians where they needed to be while maintaining control over the cleaning process.
Large commercial exterior cleaning projects often require much more than powerful equipment on the ground. Proper access equipment and planning can be just as important as the cleaning system itself.
Why We Used Soft Washing
Rather than relying on excessive pressure against the building’s exterior, Oklahoma Exterior Maintenance used a professional soft-washing process. Soft washing combines specialized cleaning solutions with low-pressure water to treat organic buildup such as algae, mold, mildew, and other contaminants.
The cleaning solution does the majority of the work instead of relying on extremely high water pressure.
This is particularly important when cleaning surfaces that could potentially be damaged by unnecessary pressure.

Restoring the Stone Around the Property
One of the most noticeable transformations involved the stone throughout the QuikTrip property. Over time, exterior stone can accumulate organic growth, discoloration, dirt, and environmental buildup. We treated and cleaned the stone walls surrounding the property as well as stone around the bridge and other sections of the headquarters.The cleaning process removed years of exterior buildup and dramatically improved the appearance of the stone without relying on unnecessarily aggressive pressure.
Cleaning the 75-Foot Columns
The large columns at the QuikTrip headquarters were another major part of the project. Because of their height, traditional exterior cleaning equipment alone wasn’t enough. Our 135-foot boom lift allowed us to reach the upper sections and work our way systematically across the columns. This combination of commercial access equipment and professional soft-washing equipment allowed us to clean areas that would otherwise be extremely difficult to reach from the ground.
Completing the Project in Sections
A commercial property of this size requires planning. Instead of attempting to clean everything at once, we approached the QuikTrip headquarters systematically. The project was divided into sections so our team could safely work through the elevated portions, columns, building exterior, stone walls, bridge areas, and ground-level surfaces.
Breaking the project into stages also allowed us to inspect completed areas as the job progressed.
Final Inspection
Once cleaning was completed, we performed a final walkaround of the property to make sure the finished work met our standards.
On a commercial project this large, small areas can easily be overlooked. A final inspection gives our team an opportunity to identify anything requiring additional attention before considering the project complete.
